On 16 July 2026, after many years of preparation, the House of Representatives adopted the new Book 7 entitled "Special Contracts" of the Belgian Civil Code. This forms the next step of the reform of private law in Belgium and follows on from the revisions carried out to property law, the law of undertakings and non-contractual liability.
