PR Legal Delivers Training on Unfair Trading Practices in the Retail Sector

PR Legal recently delivered a training session on Serbia’s new Law on Unfair Trading Practices for the category management team of a company operating in the retail sector.

The training was led by Ivana Ružičić, Managing Partner at PR Legal, and focused on the practical application of the new regulatory framework in day-to-day relationships between retailers and suppliers.

The session covered the main restrictions introduced by the Law, with particular attention to commercial negotiations, contractual arrangements, fees for additional services, and practices that may be considered unfair under the new rules.

Through practical examples and interactive discussions, participants explored how the new requirements affect everyday commercial decisions and how to distinguish legitimate business arrangements from practices that may raise compliance concerns.

The training also addressed the importance of clear, measurable and properly documented contractual obligations, particularly when agreeing on services, fees and other commercial terms with suppliers.

As companies prepare to implement the new rules, practical training for commercial teams is an important part of ensuring that legal requirements are understood and consistently applied in everyday business operations.
