Partner Ivan Todorović Participates in Key AI Regulation Seminar in Serbia

The beginning of 2026 has been marked by significant discussions in Serbia regarding artificial intelligence regulation and broader economic policy direction. Our partners actively followed these developments through participation in two prominent national events.

On 10 February 2026, Partner Ivan Todorović attended a one-day seminar dedicated to artificial intelligence standards and regulatory developments, organized by the Institute for standardization of Serbia in Belgrade.

The seminar gathered experts and practitioners to discuss the growing framework of AI-related ISO/IEC standards, as well as Serbia’s national AI Strategy for the 2025–2030 period. Particular attention was given to the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) and its practical implications for companies operating in or connected to the EU market. Discussions focused on governance structures, risk management obligations, conformity assessments, and the responsibilities of management bodies when deploying AI systems.

For our practice, these topics are increasingly relevant, especially in advising clients on compliance, data governance, internal risk frameworks and ESG-related technological responsibilities.

Partner Ivan Todorović’s participation underscores our commitment to staying at the forefront of AI regulatory developments. Engaging directly with experts and policymakers enables us to better advise our clients on compliance, governance, and responsible AI practices in an evolving legal landscape.
