Partner Ivan Todorović at The Future & AI Summit 2026

Ivan Todorović, partner at PR Legal, attended the The Future & AI Summit-a 2026, held on May 5 at Ložionica in Belgrade, gathering representatives from the business, technology, and innovation sectors.

The conference theme was “Humans at the Center of the Future in the Era of Artificial Intelligence,” and the most engaging discussions revolved around this very topic. We would highlight several key takeaways:

  • Longevity and education as the industries of the future. There is growing discussion that these two fields are poised for explosive growth, as people will increasingly invest in living longer, healthier lives and in continuous education and self-development.
  • Reform universities or disappear. Perhaps the strongest message of the day: if traditional education does not undergo deep transformation, universities in their current form may simply cease to exist by 2050. Not as a threat, but as a reality already being shaped by AI.
  • Tokenization and the Belgrade Stock Exchange. Representatives of the Ministry of Finance announced concrete steps toward enabling token trading on the Serbian stock exchange, which could become a turning point for the domestic capital market.
  • The People & Culture role within companies. Perhaps the least “technical” topic, but possibly the most important one — as AI takes over repetitive tasks (such as onboarding and sharing existing knowledge within companies), the role of those responsible for people, company culture, and purpose becomes strategic rather than merely a “soft” function.

Special attention was also given to governance and risk management issues, including cybersecurity, AI-assisted decision-making, and the challenges brought by emerging technologies such as deepfake solutions.

For our practice, these topics are becoming increasingly significant, particularly in the context of advising clients on business compliance, risk management, and the responsible implementation of artificial intelligence. Following events such as this contributes to a better understanding of technological trends and their legal implications.

The participation of Ivan Todorović in this event confirms our commitment to continuously monitoring developments in the field of artificial intelligence and providing timely legal support to our clients.
