The meeting opened with an engaging Sports Law Seminar, “Scoring Goals, Managing Risk: Legal, Business & Media Challenges in the Global Sports Arena,” featuring voices from the Dallas Cowboys, FC Dallas, and Legalink’s international network.

Jason Cohen, General Counsel of the Dallas Cowboys, shared leadership and compliance insights from one of the world’s most iconic sports organizations, followed by Gina Miller, Vice President of Broadcasting, Media & Communications at FC Dallas, who explored the evolving role of storytelling and branding in modern sports.
A dynamic panel discussion, moderated by Christopher Trowbridge (Managing Partner, Bell Nunnally), brought together experts from the USA, UK, Colombia, Portugal, and India to explore governance, sponsorships, and cross-border regulation. The session concluded with a presentation by Dan Hunt, President of FC Dallas and Co-Chairman of Dallas FIFA World Cup 26, offering a forward-looking perspective on the global sports industry.

The formal sessions continued with thought-provoking presentations and discussions on global legal and business trends, setting the tone for a forward-looking meeting.

Ambassador Ron Kirk, former U.S. Trade Representative and Mayor of Dallas, opened with a captivating conversation on leadership, diplomacy, and the evolving global trade landscape. Drawing from his unique experience in both public service and international negotiations, he offered valuable insights into how legal professionals can play a vital role in shaping policies that promote fairness and growth in global commerce.

Olga Torres, Managing Member of Torres Trade Law, followed with a deep dive into the latest developments in U.S. trade and national security law. Her presentation shed light on regulatory challenges and compliance priorities that are reshaping cross-border business, offering practical guidance for international firms navigating an increasingly complex environment.

Curtis Hite, CEO of Improving, inspired delegates with his session on trust and purpose in leadership. With stories drawn from his experience leading a rapidly growing technology consulting firm, Curtis emphasized how cultivating trust, authenticity, and shared values can transform teams and drive sustainable success.

The sessions concluded on a reflective and inspiring note with Talmage Boston, Partner at Shackelford, Bowen, McKinley & Norton, LLP, who presented “Lincoln: The Lawyer Who Held a Nation Together.” Through powerful storytelling, he explored Abraham Lincoln’s integrity, courage, and devotion to justice — reminding all present of the profound impact that lawyers can have in uniting people and upholding democratic values.

Beyond the conference room, members enjoyed a truly unforgettable Texas experience. The Welcome Cocktail at the Bell Nunnally offices offered breathtaking city views, live music, and warm hospitality. The highlight of the social programme was the Gala Dinner at the AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, where guests enjoyed a private stadium tour and an evening of celebration and connection. The weekend concluded with cultural tours in Fort Worth and a horseback riding adventure, offering delegates a true taste of Texas.
