Karol Maciej is a leading specialist in commercial law, capital market law and corporate disputes. He is consistently recognised by major legal rankings, including Legal500 EMEA, where he has been named a Recommended Lawyer in Private Client (2021–2024), Dispute Resolution (2021–2025) and Commercial, Corporate & M&A (2024). He was also distinguished as a Leading Lawyer in the Rzeczpospolita 2024 and 2025 rankings for advising private clients.
A Certified Advisor in the Alternative Trading System of the Warsaw Stock Exchange, he advises on public market transactions, takeovers, corporate governance frameworks and the organisation of company bodies. He also supports supervisory boards in control activities and frequently acts as their advisor.
He has participated in significant restructuring projects of large capital groups, including entities with public company status. Notably, he was appointed by successive Ministers of Development and Technology as temporary forced administrator of Novatek Green Energy sp. z o.o. under Poland’s Sanctions Act, safeguarding national security interests.
